The baby spiders were on the deck this morning all bunched up together and then we disturbed them – they left in all directions like a mini Big Bang. I am not a spider specialist at all but they look like Argiope aurantia to my untrained eye. Few years ago I wrote a French post (with pictures) about an adult Argiope and its victim.

I found the same this week on my deck. They are exactly what you have in the photograph. What do I have in my yard… Will they grow big? Will they leave soon?

Yes they will grow a lot. The female especially is a big and beautiful one. But they’re very good at hiding – they won’t bother you. As far as I know they are totally without danger.
